Team Manager, Procurement Services - Infrastructure Delivery Pay: Competitive Location: Parramatta/New South Wales Employment type: Full-Time Job Description Req#: 7HTDG About the role: This role, based within Sydney Water’s Business Connect Centre, involves managing a team responsible for delivering efficient and high-quality purchasing services. You will lead a multi-skilled team within the Requisition to Pay (R2P) process, supporting the Infrastructure Delivery group, which focuses on major infrastructure projects. As a team manager, you will align resources with project needs, manage senior stakeholders, and focus on continuous improvements and process compliance. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert support and guidance throughout the Requisition to Pay (R2P) process within the Business Connect Procurement Services team. Ensure full compliance with Sydney Water’s procurement policies, procedures, and systems, whilst adhering to legislative and organisational requirements. Manage invoice payments promptly and accurately, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies in line with Sydney Water's policies and procedures. Support the ongoing development and implementation of process improvements to enhance service delivery. Maintain and build positive working relationships with suppliers, ensuring that their queries and concerns are addressed in a professional and timely manner. Essential Criteria: Strong understanding and experience in the Requisition to Pay (R2P) process or similar procurement functions. Proven ability to manage and resolve invoice payment issues promptly and in line with organisational policies. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying areas for process improvement. Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with both internal teams and external suppliers. You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role. Desirable Criteria: Previous experience in a large-scale utility or public sector environment is advantageous. Knowledge of procurement systems and tools used to manage the R2P process.
