Job Description Operating in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this modern contract testing laboratory is seeking a full time Technical Administrative Assistant with strong organizing skills and the ability to learn and use software platforms quickly for an immediate start. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a positive attitude, willingness to learn on the job in a fast-paced, friendly environment with a dedicated team of like-minded professionals. Advancement opportunities exist for the right candidate. Candidates will be expected to possess the ability to answer incoming calls, maintain the stationary area, meticulously scan and archive scientific documents, prepare purchase orders, coordinate the delivery and receipt of goods and services, and assist with sample reception and the calibration of small laboratory equipment as required. Previous demonstrable experience in delivering excellence in customer service, quality & maintaining neat and efficient office systems is essential for success in this role. Possessing some hands-on experience in small equipment calibrations will be advantageous. Qualifications At a minimum, a diploma in science or laboratory technology or a related discipline is essential, as well as excellent communication, organisation and planning skills. Ability to multitask Technical knowledge of basic scientific equipment & calibrations Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Time management and problem-solving abilities. Imperative to the successful operations of this highly respected testing facility is a strict understanding and adherence to the cGMP quality system, consideration of time-sensitive workloads and the accurate and thorough recording of all results, activities and deviations encountered during the varying stages of analysis.
