The team is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Hollard Data Platform that support our customers through all aspects of the insurance value chain. The team is involved in all aspects from design through to testing, implementation, maintenance and support. Your Role You will facilitate the delivery of desired business outcomes using structured methodologies and approaches that ensure that objectives are clear, work is clearly scoped, requirements clearly defined, and that the business requirements are met and implemented in an effective manner. This role encompasses the implementation of new requirements and processes in strategic projects in addition to BAU support. You will work with stakeholders across Hollard and our Partner Organisations. Your duties and responsibilities Reporting to and working closely with the Data Platform Owner, your key focus area will be to support delivery of data engineering solutions in strategic projects and BAU. The role will cover the data life cycle end to end, from understanding stakeholder requirements and solution design through to user acceptance and post implementation testing. Providing support to the Platform Owner in order to clarify needs, determine impact, and define priority. Developing good functional understanding of Hollard’s systems. Supporting the analysis, delivery and enhancement of business process initiatives. Collaborating with business partners, technology groups, vendors, suppliers and business stakeholders from all levels of the organisation to gather and analyse end user data requirements. Producing high quality business requirements documents that are clear and easy to understand so that they can be implemented by the technical and vendor teams. Analysing and defining data mappings and processing rules from Hollard Policy Administration System(s) and Claims Administration System(s) to Data Platform(s) and downstream systems including Finance. Your knowledge and experience Demonstrated experience in Technical Data / Business Analyst experience in requirements management, data analysis, project scoping and solution design. Specifically, eliciting, clarifying and managing business, functional and non-functional requirements. Further translating these requirements into technical data requirements, and testing outputs from engineers to validate suitability for the business. Strong understanding of data structures and how these are used and manipulated to produce output to solve business problems. Industry / business knowledge of the Australian Insurance market (preferably with experience of General Insurance). Experience working within Data and Finance projects with a strong understanding of finance operating environment and their data requirements desirable. Must have an ability to explain complex financial and technology matters at an appropriate level for audience knowledge.
