Job Description In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain our next-generation billing platform, playing a hands-on, full-stack role in creating new features that enhance our customers' experiences and align with business needs. Key Responsibilities: As a technical lead, you’ll drive essential projects with a focus on best practices, resilience, and scalability. You'll work closely with both business and technology stakeholders, adhering to agile processes to deliver effective solutions. Impact You'll Make: You will take ownership of the solution design, development, deployment, and support of our billing platform. This high-performance system processes complex ledgering and invoicing for our customers across multiple countries. After-Hours Support: This role includes participation in a Level 3 after-hours support roster. We are committed to creating resilient and self-healing systems, and our engineering leadership will ensure you have the time and resources to enhance platform reliability. Qualifications 8+ years of experience with Java Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and driving development Proficient with AWS or other cloud platforms Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) Expertise in designing and implementing microservices, scalable APIs, and event-driven architectures A proactive approach to project ownership and improvement of engineering practices Exposure to large-scale distributed systems A focus on automation to drive efficiency and streamline processes A continuous learner, dedicated to enhancing technical skills Creative, tenacious, and highly collaborative team player Bonus Points for: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible Experience with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab Knowledge of React JS Additional Information Life at Symbio We ensure our employees have equal access to a range of learning and development opportunities, and encourage everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or life stage to embrace these opportunities, enabling them to develop themselves and their career.
