IPA by Synergie is going through the biggest and most exciting transition period of our 40 year history and we want you to be a part of it.Our client is seeking skilled and adaptable contractors to work as Fisheries Technicians. This role offers you a unique opportunity to actively participate in a multidisciplinary team and provide support for conducting field experiments to support the team projects.Responsibilities and Duties Fish feeding and Fish care at Bribie Island Research Centre Monitoring and managing tank and aquaculture system water quality Assisting with live feed production Assisting with fieldwork preparation Towing boats for fieldwork Assisting with fieldwork (electrofishing, fyke netting, data recording, fish identification and measurement) Essential Requirements Experience in field data collection, preferably in marine environments. Ability to work at sea under rough conditions for extended periods. Current unrestricted C class driver's license. Highly Desirable Qualifications Minimum of a Diploma or bachelor's degree in applied science, Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, or equivalent. Coxswain's certificate. First Aid certificate Work Conditions : This role may involve working in difficult conditions, including remote areas, at sea, and in inclement weather.Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history check.#J-18808-Ljbffr
