About the role The Technical Officer, Sport, Physical & Outdoor Education is responsible for providing technical support, training, and services to staff and students for teaching and field trip activities. You will: Provide specialist technical advice for the maintenance and use of equipment. Maintain accurate records of equipment based on requirements for each unit and ensure appropriate supplies of equipment and consumables are available. Liaise with relevant academic staff to ensure the smooth operations of the SPOE programs. Provide technical and administrative support for teaching activities by ensuring all equipment and consumables required are accessible prior to and appropriately cleaned, stored, and checked on return. About you The position is required to perform a wide range of tasks that impact the successful running of the teaching activities and field trips. To be considered for this position, you will need to have demonstrated: Experience in coordinating the preparation, organisation, and distribution of equipment, consumables, and materials. Knowledge and application of OH&S and EH&S responsibilities. Ability to support the organisation of field trips and practical activities. Ability to document and maintain a range of accurate technical records. All University positions delivering education and/or services to children must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
