They provide quality products and services as well as education that people need for their pets to live long and healthy lives. The Role Within the Research and Development (R&D) team servicing Australia and New Zealand, there is now the requirement for a Technical Service Veterinarian , to act as the voice of the pets in many workstreams within the business. The role reports to the Head of R&D and Innovation and works alongside other vets and scientists, focusing on nutritional products. This involves extensive scientific literature research, along with product development and communication, to support the adequacy, high quality efficacy and safety of products. This diverse role offers a lot of variety, which includes: predominantly researching ingredients, recipe formulation and product safety developing communications with Marketing managing technical and vet responses with Customer Care co-developing and delivering educational training materials with Sales helping define and deploy ‘best practice’ in product and process innovation The Person To be successful you will ideally have: Qualifications in Veterinary Science or equivalent. Animal care and food technology qualifications will be considered 3 years’ experience in companion animal practice Strong research and analytical skills with high level of detail and accuracy Some experience working cross functionally on projects, ideally in animal care with pet food/treats Excellent communication skills, including experience in presenting/training in a commercial environment Working autonomously, this role best suits a curious and pragmatic person who enjoys researching to create a comprehensive knowledge base. Being in a cross functional team environment, you will work collaboratively, in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team of individuals. The company offers a flexible work from home/Sydney office arrangement, with some travel required to conferences and twice a year to NZ.
