We’ve partnered with a world leading R&D business delivering PV inverter solutions and energy storage systems for utility-scale, commercial & industrial projects which has seen an increase in project demand in recent months. Therefore, they require a Technical Solutions Engineer based in Sydney to implement methodical results in the delivery of C&I and BESS projects nationwide. Responsibilities Deliver technical guidance in the engineering execution of renewable energy projects (solar, battery storage, etc.). Oversee technical issues in the design, delivery, and acceptance phases to ensure compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with project managers, solution engineers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Develop and review engineering documentation, including technical drawings, design reports, and compliance reports. Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and asset management teams. Review tender response documents, contract documents, and design documents to identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines, budget, or performance. Support the continuous improvement of engineering processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in engineering project delivery, with 1+ years in renewable energy or power infrastructure of C&I scale. Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, power electronics, grid integration, and energy storage solutions. Familiarity with engineering standards and regulations including those relating to BESS and Inverter systems (AS/NZS series, IEC, IEEE, NEC, local grid codes, etc.). Experience in engineering design software (AutoCAD or similar). Excellent communication skills to interface with both internal teams and customers for complex requirement clarification and solution development. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
