Job description: Technology Business Partner $143,798 per annum + superannuation Full time, ongoing Geelong location (hybrid working model – 3 days in office) WorkSafe is Victoria's workplace health and safety regulator. About the role The Technology Business Partner works closely with a diverse range of senior business stakeholders to define and plan fit-for-purpose technology solutions that support and align with the strategic direction of the business unit, division and broader organisation. This will require developing an intimate understanding and tangible alignment between technical resources, projects and initiatives; and the business’ operational plans and strategic direction. Key accountabilities: Partner with business Executives and senior leaders to review business capability gaps and effectiveness of end users, providing advice and options analysis of potential technology solutions Proactively identify and explore new technology opportunities in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Architecture blueprint Represent the business’ interests within Technology stakeholder groups, recommending solutions that are practical and customer-centred in both the development and delivery of technology solutions Conduct initial assessments in collaboration with other business units/partners, such as finance, risk and policy advisors, to determine the viability of technology solutions within the broader context of the operating environment Support the development of business cases with a focus on business performance, including key metrics such as Return on Investment and Total Cost of Ownership to demonstrate and compare the value of various technology solutions Collaborate with Procurement and external vendors to undertake market scans, Request for Information and Request for Proposal activities About you You are an experienced Technology professional who wants to make a difference to our community by reducing workplace harm and improving outcomes for injured workers. Your highly developed verbal and written communication skills support you to tailor messaging to diverse audiences. You are a people person who is persistent and resilient in an ambiguous public sector environment. You have a passion for collaborating with stakeholders to influence, negotiate and liaise, with building relationships always front of mind.
