Job Description
The Technology Governance Lead will oversee the governance and compliance functions within our technology operations and be responsible for maintaining robust governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external industry standards, and enabling operational resilience. As a key Leadership member of the team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to develop and manage governance processes, enhance risk management practices, and provide oversight of compliance metrics and reporting. In addition to this, manage a small team to achieve high standards of governance across all aspects of technology. Governance and Policy Development Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technology governance frameworks. Maintain and update policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to reflect best practices and emerging trends. Provide governance oversight for core technology functions, including access management and application governance. Ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and frameworks to enhance organisational maturity in technology governance. Manage the first line of defense risk function for technology and cyber operations. Collaborate with second line of defense teams to identify, track, and mitigate technology-related risks. Facilitate risk workshops with stakeholders to design and implement effective risk treatment plans. Monitor and improve the organisation’s approach to identifying and addressing governance and compliance risks. Oversee the maintenance and functionality of the Technology Governance Portal as a central repository for governance-related documentation. Ensure the portal remains up to date and accessible for reporting, auditing, and compliance purposes. Engage with stakeholders to enhance portal usability and increase adherence to governance standards. Metrics and Reporting Define, adapt, and deliver key metrics and reporting mechanisms, including scorecards, dashboards, and risk indicators. Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership, board members, and external regulatory bodies. Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of governance reporting. Audit Support and Compliance Provide support during audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of assessments. Track and manage actions resulting from audit findings to ensure timely resolution. Monitor the organisation’s compliance with relevant industry frameworks and standards. Please note: The role is based in Sydney ONLY with 2 days work from home.
