Job Description
Skillset, in conjunction with a local food manufacturing business in Bathurst, are seeking immediate applications for a Temporary Canteen Assistant. If you are passionate about providing excellent service and ensuring the smooth operation of a busy canteen, this is the role for you! Candidates must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement, including drug and alcohol screening. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages to staff Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining area Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as required Handle cash transactions and assist in processing payments Ensure all food safety standards and health regulations are followed Assist in managing customer queries and providing excellent customer service We are seeking individuals who: Have prior experience in a canteen, kitchen, or food service setting (desirable) Can thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure effectively Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrate a keen attention to cleanliness and detail Are available for early starts Hold a relevant food safety certification (desirable) Interested applicants are encouraged to apply immediately, as applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
