We are looking to appoint a Territory Manager (North Queensland) to report to the National Sales Manager. About the role: - Based in Mackay in a high performing territory - Competitive Salary, plus super, incentive plan and tools of trade including vehicle, laptop, phone - 80% Account Management and delivering growth of existing distribution network, 20% new business and end user engagement focus channeling back into distributor channel - 40% of role minimum 2-4 nights travel within territory per trip - Primary Segments (Industrial, Agriculture, Transport, Automotive, Mining) - Field Day and Trade Day participation where applicable This role will collaborate with major functions across the business to drive net sales growth of channel partners. This will be accomplished by developing & supporting the execution of channel plans through the National sales team and directly with customers to achieve company sales plans, marketing objectives & profit goals. To be successful, this Territory Manager must be a driven sales orientated hunter, capable of building strong relationships, effectively collaborating with internal & external stakeholders, understanding customers’ needs & helping guide sales activities through the marketing planning function. Key Responsibilities: Achieve sales KPI objectives primarily focusing on growing Revenue and Gross Margin. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to grow the business of all company core product lines. Work with Sales and Marketing Management to ensure the proper rollout of targeted range within the selected Buying Groups and Key Accounts during campaigns and in general. Manage customers’ expectations with a focus on solution selling to ensure products are considered industry best practices and strive to achieve market leadership. Develop, plan, and execute new business acquisition strategies to ensure the territory/region is achieving growth targets as set by National Sales Manager. Ensure sales reporting and rebate management is utilised with regular discussions with stakeholders to ensure performance is in line with expectations. Manage account discount structures – Special Pricing via localised Contract support and Trading terms. Build and maintain relationships with high-value accounts at all levels within the territory. This would include but not limited to product training, demonstrations, engagement programs and sales solutions to ensure the brand portfolio is competent for selling with sales teams within outlets, End-user engagement and new business development focus. Sales reporting – Per CRM (Pronto) & Monthly Territory Sales Reports Preferred skill set 3 - 5 years of Sales & Account management experience in an Industrial B2B environment within the North Queensland market is required. However, exceptional candidates with diverse experience are highly considerable. Experience in a distributor model business and end-user engagement experience is desirable. Strong relationship-building skills at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, persuasion & negotiation skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint presentations. Strong sales reporting & analysis skills. Hybrid of ’HUNTER Sales Mentality with the ability to grow and account manage ”existing and new accounts Fluid Handling sales experience including an understanding of Industrial Flow Meters desirable.
