As a Theatre Assistant, you will play a vital support role within surgical teams. Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Supporting the Surgical Team – Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses with preparing the operating rooms. Maintaining Sterility – Ensure that the theatre environment, equipment, and instruments remain sterile to reduce infection risks. Cleaning and Disinfecting – Clean the theatre after surgeries and prepare it for the next procedure. Handle clinical waste. Inventory Management – Monitor and restock supplies. Assisting with Patient Positioning and Transfer – Safely transport and position patients on the operating table, ensuring comfort and preventing injuries. Skills and Experience You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. You will also need to be flexible and have the ability to work a rotating roster. You will also bring: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required. Excellent patient and customer service focus Requirements Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
