Job Description
About the position As a Therapy Assistant at Northcott, you will deliver therapy programs to clients under the instruction and guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional. Therapy programs will include individual and group therapy programs in an individual and family-centered model of practice. This position is based locally in Mungindi and surrounding areas. You will receive regular support from our Therapists in person and remotely. Initially, 10 hours per week are available, with the potential for more hours based on your capacity. Key Responsibilities • Support clients and their families to achieve therapy goals through the delivery of therapy programs.• Gain experience in the fast-growing disability sector with ongoing support from Allied Health Professionals.• Advocate for our customers and assist them in achieving their goals and independence. Key Requirements Allied Health students currently studying an allied health degree (e.g. SP, OT, DT, PT) living locally, perhaps studying externally. Certificate IV in Allied Health. Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (minimum Cert III). Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check and QLD Blue Card, as well as NDIS Worker Screening clearance. Completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training. Hold current First Aid and CPR certifications. Possess a current driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle. Well-developed interpersonal skills with an understanding of professional boundaries and scope of practice. Ability to assist in all duties confidently and autonomously. #J-18808-Ljbffr
