About the role The Trade Marketing Program Leader is accountable for developing, negotiating and managing the delivery of effective cooperative integrated marketing campaigns and programs both domestically and globally that drive incremental overnight visitor expenditure, in conjunction with strategic partners, including Tourism Australia, airlines, retail trade, online travel agencies, wholesalers and others. Job Description Develop campaigns, co-op projects and activities for all domestic and global trade and aviation partner activity in line with business strategies. Manage the trade and aviation partnership calendar and the full life cycle of campaigns from the initial planning to development and rollout. Identify priority strategic partners (traditional and non-traditional) and develop competitive and innovative campaign strategies to meet business objectives. Monitor campaigns and projects to meet budgets, objectives, KPIs and timelines and optimise where applicable. Provide trade marketing expertise and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders including Regional Tourism Organisations (RTO’s). Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to the Trade Marketing Program Specialist across the Marketing Group who assist with the delivery of campaign activity. Demonstrated success in planning, negotiating, managing and delivering integrated conversion-focused partnership marketing campaigns and associated co-operative marketing programs. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, delivering to varying deadlines with competing priorities, budget management, evaluating, optimisation and reporting on projects. Ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. An in-depth knowledge of the trade and aviation landscape within the tourism industry and the various distribution channels used by consumers to determine holiday choice. Extensive established partnership network within the trade and aviation industry.
