About the role Ventia have a contract for supporting the maintenance of Millmerran Power Station and Skout are currently seeking Trades Assistants with riggers/doggers tickets to assist on a 6 week shutdown (10.5 hrs per day, 52.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday (possible for Saturday) from 7/4/25. Pay for the first 42 hours worked in the week is $41.38/hr. OT is then paid at $76 for first 2 hours and $82 for all hours worked thereafter. With the daily LAHA this is a pre-tax income of est $3000 per week + super. Duties include but are not limited to: Maintain plant effectively to the set standards; Work with trades assistants and other tradesmen to achieve plant performance; Complete minor plant isolation and operation; Utilise computerised maintenance management system to create/complete work orders; Complete routine plant maintenance. About you Trade Assistant experience helping mechanical trades. Maintenance experience required; mining experience is not essential. Riggers, Dogman tickets are essential. EWP, CS, WAH are highly desirable. A commitment to OH&S practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Current driver's licence and construction card.
