Base pay range A$100,000.00/yr - A$110,000.00/yr We are seeking a Traffic Manager to join a client of ours on a 12 month contract. This position requires a skilled professional who can oversee the day-to-day operations of the traffic management department and ensure that traffic control services are carried out effectively, safely, and in compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage and streamline the daily operations of the traffic department to ensure smooth service delivery. Coordinate, plan, and schedule traffic control works, ensuring all projects run efficiently. Develop and nurture positive working relationships with key stakeholders and local authorities. Implement and maintain quality control procedures and ensure all required documentation is up to date. Ensure the department is equipped with the right resources to manage and supervise traffic control works effectively. Oversee the management and regular inspection of traffic department assets, including vehicles and equipment. Lead a team of office staff and fieldworkers, promoting compliance with safety standards and procedures. Provide essential training, supervision, and guidance to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure that all traffic management activities comply with relevant legislation, codes, and site-specific safety rules. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient traffic management on-site. Conduct regular safety audits and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance safety and productivity. Participate in site meetings, including kick-off and client walk-throughs. Facilitate return-to-work procedures and assist in rehabilitation programs for workers. Ensure proper human resources processes and maintain accurate records for the team. Lead safety toolbox talks and ensure staff comprehension and compliance. Perform site audits to ensure standards are upheld or exceeded. Essential Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Traffic Control industry. At least 2 years' experience in Traffic Control planning and management. Familiarity with Invarion Rapid Plan and Rapid Path Systems. Safe Work Traffic Control Licence (including the ability to prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans). White Card.
