The Medical Imaging at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Trainee Radiographer to join their team on a casual basis. Your opportunity The Trainee Radiographer role performs a range of clinical support activities and on-the-job skills development while engaged in formal full-time tertiary studies necessary to acquire the relevant entry-level qualification (mandatory) for employment as a Health Practitioner in Queensland. Students are employed casually to accommodate the commitments required by their studies while gaining pre-registration exposure to the workplace. Students contribute to the Medical Imaging service delivery model within the Mackay Base Hospital under the delegation and practice supervision of a Radiographer in the provision of effective patient care. About the Team Our Medical Imaging Department delivers a range of services including General Radiography (CR) and (DR), Computed Tomography (CT) (Dual Source), Ultrasound, Theatre II, Interventional Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
