About the Job An excellent opportunity exists to kick start your new career in Local Government through a Traineeship in Work Health and Safety. The objective of this entry level position is to develop the skills, knowledge and expertise through undertaking an approved course of study whilst getting real world experience and gaining valuable practical skills in the workplace. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Undertake study in the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety Provide administrative support to the WHS team Provide a high standard of customer service to both internal and external clients This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week. About you In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have: Eligible and able to complete study in the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety Demonstrated well-developed verbal and written communication skills Sound computer skills A genuine interest in Workplace Health and Safety Salary : $39,365.00 - $57,289.00 per annum, dependent on age. Permanent staff are entitled to: 5 weeks annual leave per year Minimum of 11.5% superannuation employer contribution Superannuation co-contribution offered to a maximum of 5% Free access to the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre (pool & gym) Access to career development opportunities Employee wellness initiatives including Employee Assistance Program, skin checks and flu vaccinations Applications close on Sunday 9 March 2025.
