The Company STEPS is a national not for profit organisation, passionate about empowering individuals and communities through their commitment to make a difference by providing opportunity through education and employment at their Hobart site.The Position An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Trainer and Assessor to join the vibrant and motivated team delivering Certificate III in Individual Support. Located at the STEPS Education & Training site in Hobart. Responsibilities: Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with standards for RTOs and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications. Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of diverse clients in the training program. Train, assess and support students throughout the course and during their placements. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Some travel required for placement visits with use of company vehicle. The Successful Applicant Must hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or higher. Must hold a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (OR special consideration for Registered/Enrolled Nurses with qualifications in Community services/current industry experience) Current industry experience across the Aged Care and Disability industries. Demonstrated knowledge in the achievement of client learning outcomes and high level client participation, retention and completion rates. Effective and flexible training delivery style that delivers positive outcomes across disadvantaged and culturally diverse clients. Applicants must hold a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People card, NDIS Endorsement, current Drivers Licence and be able to complete a National Police Check.
