STEPS has partnered with Anglicare and are seeking an experienced trainer to deliver Certificate II in Hospitality to students in Cairns. This exciting opportunity is full time, Monday - Friday up to 2 years from date of employment. The Position Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical training to young and adult learners. Role Responsibilities Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with standards for RTOs and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications. Conduct training sessions in Cairns and Kuranda, utilising classroom spaces provided by Anglicare. Develop and implement creative and practical learning activities tailored to the goals and interests of the students. Plan and deliver course content effectively utilising training resources provided. Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of diverse clients in the training program. Maintain accurate assessments and attendance records. Manage administrative tasks, including completing paperwork and file notes within specified timeframes. Engage students in fun, contextualised training to keep students motivated and eager to learn. Occasional travel may be required for activities that enhance students' learning experience. The Successful Applicant TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Diploma or higher in Adult Education. Certificate III in Hospitality. Experience delivering qualifications in Hospitality (minimum of Cert II) and achieving learning outcomes with a background in Food and Beverage. Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment delivering practical, real-life learning experiences to students with diverse needs. Strong organisational skills to manage administrative processes and adhere to delivery schedules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and host employers. Applicants must have a current Driver Licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
