We are looking for an experienced Training and Safety Advisor for a permanent FIFO role. What You Will Be Doing As the Training and Safety Advisor , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring workforce competency and safety compliance. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating training and assessment for mobile plant equipment to meet competency requirements. Supporting the implementation and maintenance of an effective safety and health management system. Promoting risk management processes and encouraging the reporting of near misses, hazards, and incidents. Conducting safety audits, inspections, and toolbox meetings. Investigating and reporting incidents in collaboration with stakeholders. Delivering induction and training programs as required. Managing contractors to ensure adherence to company policies and standards. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in training and safety processes. What You Will Need To be successful in this role, you will bring: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a safety and training role within the mining industry. Sound knowledge of relevant Acts, Codes of Practice, and Standards. Recent experience in mining and civil earthmoving sectors. Certificates and licenses including: Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Senior First Aid with CPR competency. RIIVEH201D, RIIRIS402D (G2), RIIRIS301D (G1), RIIWHS301D (G8), RIICOM301D (G9). Statement of Attainment in Incident Investigation (ICAM or similar). A current Driver's License. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and mentoring. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to workplace safety and training.
