The role We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and organised Training and Compliance Specialist to join the team at Ballantyne in Laverton North. Ballantyne is a family-owned and operated dairy manufacturer with a long-standing tradition of producing high-quality dairy products. As the Training and Compliance Specialist, you are a key member of the People and Culture team, responsible for managing and improving training programs, maintaining compliance records, and overseeing competency assessments within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that employees are trained to meet compliance standards, maintain their competencies, and meet regulatory and business requirements. Key responsibilities Design, develop, and implement effective training programs tailored to the needs of the manufacturing environment. Monitor and track employee training records to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement in our safety and compliance procedures. Liaise with internal departments and external authorities to stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry best practices. Maintain detailed documentation and reporting on all training and compliance activities. Provide support and guidance to team leaders and supervisors on training and compliance matters. What we're looking for Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in a human resources, training, or compliance role, ideally within the manufacturing industry. Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with teams at all levels. Thorough understanding of relevant workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirements. Proficient in using training management and record-keeping systems.
