Melbourne Wealth Management Contract or Temporary Working with a leading global wealth management firm in their Melbourne office, this initial 12-month contract role will provide support in the Transaction Services operations team. In the next 12 months this role will evolve to include project work, not just processing work. The team covers key functionalities including managing cash payments, funding positions, settlements, and bookings across Wealth Management Businesses. This is a key support role in a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to cross train on other functions and get involved in projects. The ideal candidate will have around 2-4 years’ experience in a wealth management operations, payments or equity operations role as well as some exposure to project work and interest in projects e.g., project support/coordination. Key Responsibilities: Timely and accurate processing of payments/journals. Error free submission for daily liquidity reports and payments reports. Daily managing of client cash payments requests and addressing advisors’ enquiries on payments/journals. Good understanding of client asset segregation rules and related regulatory requirements. Any additional ad-hoc project tasks as required by head of transaction services. Experience: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and 2-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant wealth management operations role. Project management experience not mandatory, but seeking at least some exposure to project work and interest in projects e.g., project support/coordination. Knowledgeable of domestic equity settlements or IRESS would be a big plus. Qualifications: Desirable tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce. Financial markets experience, especially exposure to trading, would be highly regarded. Understanding of regulatory rules and how they apply to the business. Understanding of the various legislation and regulations within the financial services industry (ASX rules, AML, KYC, FATCA and CRS requirements) will be an added advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
