The Team The Data and Digital - Insights team helps clients put data driven decision making at the heart of solving their most important problems. Through our expert delivery of data strategy, data science and analytics, data management and data platforms, we help our clients make intelligent decisions for better outcomes. The Role We are seeking an experienced Delivery Director with a strong background in Defence ICT acquisition and delivery to lead projects and initiatives for our Digital Defence practice. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Defence capability development and acquisition processes, and have demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale, multivendor programs of work and initiatives. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full capability lifecycle from concept development to operational delivery ensuring the solutions meet Defence’s operational needs. Lead varying size, cross-functional teams in a complex multivendor environment ensuring seamless collaboration between Defence stakeholders and industry partners and achieving the desired outcomes. Assist the client in developing, managing and reviewing Capability Definition Documents to support the definition and acquisition of ICT systems. Identify and lead business opportunities within the Defence sector to assist in developing our Digital capability and brand. Engage with Defence executives and industry stakeholders to build relationships and networks. Required Skills and Experience: Proven track record of managing and delivering Defence ICT capabilities and initiatives in a multivendor environment, ensuring successful program execution. Sound understanding of the Capability Definition Document frameworks, processes and governance structures. Experience in working with or alongside Defence organisations such as CASG, DDG and industry partners. Excellent oral and written skills, with the ability to operate and engage effectively at all levels of Defence and communicate clearly complex information and manage expectations across a diverse client base. Good business acumen with experience in business development, stakeholder engagement and tenders with a strong understanding of Defence industry trends and future capability investment opportunities. Demonstrated experience in managing diverse cross-functional teams providing development and coaching staff in a dynamic and complex environment.
