The Transitions & Pathways Teacher plays a key role within the school in supporting and assisting Stage 5 students with transitions to post-compulsory and senior school, learning, training and employment options. Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with college staff, students and colleagues across the system in order to develop and implement strategies for careers, training, transition and guidance support for students in Stage 5. Ability to foster positive relationships with students, their families, and outside agencies. Strong commitment to providing positive options for Stage 5 students designed to encourage and maintain student engagement in learning and training pathways. An ability to work as part of a cohesive team and contribute positively to staff professional culture. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills. Knowledge of relevant NESA curriculum and State, NCCD, National and Diocesan Policies and Procedures. Ability to develop, manage and maintain effective documentation and records on school and system platforms. Current NSW Working with Children Check. Current NESA Teaching Accreditation (Proficient Teacher Status). Current Driving Licence. Desirable Criteria Vocational, Careers or School Guidance qualifications/or a willingness to work towards. Demonstrated experience in creating, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including parents/guardians, staff, local industry, employers and training education providers. Commitment to working with parents/guardians and staff to ensure all transition and pathway information is accurate and without bias. Well developed understanding of local industry, ensuring students are well informed of national and local employment trends. Evidence of and willingness to participate in local and wider networks and maintain currency in relevant professional learning, data and trends.
