We’re looking for a highly organised and detail oriented Transport Administrator to join a leading container transport company based in Hemmant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong administrative background in transport or freight forwarding, who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys problem solving. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring shipments are processed, tracked, and delivered efficiently, liaising with clients, stevedores, freight forwarders, and internal teams. If you have exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and experience in transport administration, we want to hear from you! What You’ll Be Doing: Register & Manage Shipments – Ensure all bookings and documentation are updated and accurate. Shipment Coordination – Work closely with drivers, freight forwarders, and stevedores to ensure smooth transport operations. Data Entry & Reporting – Maintain shipment records, update tracking systems, and manage inventory data. Client & Stakeholder Communication – Provide top tier customer service and liaise with key stakeholders. Monitor Vessel Arrivals & Departures – Ensure cost effective movement of shipments. Compliance & Documentation – Ensure all transport and customs requirements are met. Problem Solving – Address discrepancies, damages, or logistics issues efficiently. What We’re Looking For: Transport/Freight Forwarding Experience – Previous experience in transport or logistics administration is preferred. ️ Strong Computer Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and industry software like 1-Stop, VBS, TAS, Freight Tracker, and Container Chain & CargoWise. Attention to Detail – Ability to manage multiple shipments and ensure all data is recorded accurately. Communication & Relationship Management – Comfortable liaising with clients, freight forwarders, and customs.
