As a result of their continued success and growth, they are seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to assist with one of their West Melbourne sites. Your new role Your tasks will include: Planning the shifts of the transport function to ensure delivery and receipt of cargo is processed and completed within allocated time slots for customers and clients Allocation of jobs for drivers and providing them with necessary delivery paperwork Ensuring communication lines between drivers and customers remain open and working closely with the Transport Manager to solve any issues Setting up requirements for bulk runs Tracking and recording all trailer movements to ensure minimal risk of equipment loss Creating and providing accurate client bookings and release details requested Working closely with other areas of the operations team Actively participating in process improvement initiatives What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will: Be an excellent planner with strong problem-solving skills Have strong time management skills Possess sound IT skills with experience in using MS Office, with the ability to pick up new skills Have strong data management skills Be focused on compliance and all safe work practices Look to maintain a healthy culture within the immediate team and the wider business Have proven experience in transport allocation in a fast-paced, demanding role What you'll get in return The opportunity to be a part of the largest logistics business in Australia Access to first class training on niche systems An excellent workplace environment with a proven track record of great culture $110,000 + Super Opportunities to participate in future leader programs Access to company lunches ranging from food trucks and EOFY and EOY events Hours of 9pm to 5am What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, please forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to or call 8616 8430 now.
