Role details The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a transport officer to join their team on a temporary basis. Identified Role: Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Your opportunity To offer a variety of operational services that ensure high-quality care for consumers using the Specialist Outpatients Department. This includes providing a safe and efficient transport service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers to and from Specialist Outpatient clinics and other services within Mackay Base Hospital. About The Team The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit is an essential element of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service support services and ensures the development and delivery of culturally appropriate services and models of health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families.
