About the role We are looking for a highly motivated person who is eager to start their career in underground mining as a Truck Operator. This role will report to the Underground Shift Supervisor and will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely haulage services using articulated underground mobile machinery. The position requires a focus on meeting operational targets while maintaining safety, compliance, and efficiency. This position is being offered on a 7 days on, 7 days off, rotating day & night shift roster. Core responsibilities Knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, OH&S and Duty of Care. High level Driving ability. Application of Company Safety procedures. Promote safe manual handling techniques. Conduct pre-start checks on vehicles and machinery. Accurately record work completed, hazards requiring attention, and machinery condition. Conduct workplace inspections. Perform other UG tasks as required. Experience working on heavy machinery. Communicate with oncoming shift regarding key handover or job issues. About you To be successful in this role you will hold a valid driver’s licence and have the ability to proactively enhance your skills and competency levels through further training as required for the role whilst maintaining safety as a priority and actively contributing to making the workplace safer.
