As the Tuberculosis Outreach Respiratory Nurse Consultant, you'll lead the charge in managing tuberculosis (TB) through outreach clinics, community screening, and innovative care strategies. This pivotal role includes enhancing the BCG vaccination program for children under five in remote areas, providing expert clinical leadership, and championing better health outcomes for vulnerable populations. In this dynamic position, you’ll deliver hands-on nursing care, mentor healthcare teams, and drive transformative projects. Your expertise will shape policies, empower professionals through education, and ensure excellence in TB management. With significant autonomy and decision-making responsibilities, you’ll play a crucial role in bridging healthcare gaps and advancing patient-centred care across diverse Australian communities. About You We are seeking a passionate and experienced nursing professional with a commitment to excellence in patient care and leadership. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing Board of Australia, holding or eligible for a current practising certificate. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience: At least 3 years of post-registration experience, including demonstrated competence in caring for individuals with tuberculosis. Knowledge: A sound understanding of Australian health standards, relevant legislation, and contemporary nursing and healthcare practices.
