The Upper Gastrointestinal Research Officer is an integral member of the research team within the Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe), RPA Institute of Academic Surgery (IAS) and the Upper Gastrointestinal Department at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. Under the guidance of the SOuRCe and IAS Directors, they will help undertake research activities related to multiple projects involving the Upper Gastrointestinal Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This primarily includes the development and maintenance of the Upper Gastrointestinal database, study protocol development, protocol implementation, ethics submission, project management, patient recruitment and consenting. The successful candidate must have very strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to work both independently and in a team. The successful candidate will be supported by the Upper Gastrointestinal Department at RPA and will work closely with other employees in a multi-disciplinary team. Ideal Candidate Relevant post-graduate qualifications and/or equivalent experience in epidemiology and research study management. Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Has experience in preparing research ethics applications and sound understanding of the research ethics and governance processes in NSW. Benefits and Perks!
