The RoleWe are looking for an Urgent Care Registered Nurse to join our Toowoomba Urgent Care Service. As a vital team member, you will be responsible for ensuring all patients that present to the Urgent Care Service are identified as being appropriate for the service, triaged promptly and provided with front line care in collaboration with the Urgent Care medical practitioner.Why Join Us? Your ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Triage of all patients who present to Urgent Care. Conduct comprehensive and accurate nursing triage. Act promptly for any triaged patients requiring emergency escalation or due to deterioration. Perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability for the dynamic Urgent Care environment. Deliver high-quality, person-centered care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners. Ensure patients achieve desired clinical outcomes. Provide essential health education to patients. Complete all documentation accurately and promptly. About YouAHPRA Registered Nurse. Must be available evenings and weekends. You will be required to provide a Working with Children Check and National Police Check. Previous experience in triage within an emergency department, remote nursing, or ICU is preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care settings. 3 years’ experience as an RN preferred. ICU nursing experience is welcomed. Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately. Strong communication skills both verbal and written and a high level of critical thinking. Can work autonomously and delegate when appropriate. A passion for people with a personable approach.
