Our client is a renowned utilities management and design organisation, committed to providing innovative solutions in utilities design, construction management, electrical engineering and digital engineering. They operate across multiple states and this is a newly created role as the business is in a growth phase. We are seeking a dynamic Utilities Manager – Queensland Lead to spearhead QLD operations. This dual-role position combines technical expertise in utilities management with strategic leadership of their Queensland office. The role will initially be managing a small team alongside delivering utilities infrastructure projects and as the business grows it will transition to less delivery and more management duties. An existing network in QLD will be beneficial to assist in business development efforts and pipeline growth. Our client specialises in all utility disciplines including electricity, water, wastewater, gas, and telecommunications, across a wide range of infrastructure projects. This is across both traditional and renewable technologies. Key Responsibilities: Represent the company in Queensland, fostering relationships with clients and stakeholders. Oversee recruitment, development, and management of the Queensland team. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture reflecting company values. Identify and secure a robust project pipeline in collaboration with the Business Development Manager. Build and maintain strong client relationships in the Queensland market. Supervise high-quality and competitive proposal submissions. Conduct SME reviews on utility-related design submissions. Coordinate utility designers and digital engineers for effective management of utility scopes. Provide ongoing construction support and on-site utilities management. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in leading and delivering large-scale utilities infrastructure projects. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.
