Public Skills Australia is an Australian Government initiative established to provide services that support skilled and robust public safety and government workforces. It provides consultation to inform workforce planning and training product development to meet industry and policy needs; implementation, promotion and monitoring of strategies that drive improvement of training delivery; and stewardship of intelligence relating to workforce challenges and skill needs. Two newly created positions are on offer and form part of a tight-knit, energised team. Reporting to the Manager Training Promotion & Implementation, the role has responsibility for supporting VET projects relating to the ongoing review and maintenance of training products within training packages. It involves collaborating with contractors, fostering and maintaining strong relationships with key industry partners, developing and piloting implementation programs to support industry sector RTOs, developing high quality reports and briefing papers, and organising and facilitating various committee meetings. With a passion for genuinely making a difference to an organisation’s success, you bring relevant tertiary qualifications, sound working knowledge of VET or compliance requirements and demonstrated experience in delivering projects relevant to vocational education and training, workforce planning or labour market research. Ideally this experience will have been gained within service-focussed VET environments in public safety, not-for-profits or government. Your strengths in communication, influencing and resilience and the desire to deliver high quality outcomes as part of a team will guarantee your success.
