Job Description

Candidates must be Melbourne or Canberra based - Hybrid (3 days work from office) 12 months Contract with likely extensions Must have NV1 Security Clearance. Work as a VMware Engineer with a Global Consulting firm on one of their established Government sector projects. Responsibilities and Skills Required include: Administer and support Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of services and applications. Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Monitor and optimize Azure resources to maintain cost efficiency. Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS). Create and manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access controls are in place. Administer and support VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including deployment and management of virtual machines and storage. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization and cloud infrastructure. Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) for system provisioning and management.
