Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities: We are currently recruiting an experienced VP to join our Distribution and Credit Solutions (‘DCS’) sales team based in Sydney, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced, results-focused, global organization that values diversity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the build-out of the DCS business in Australia. They will have the opportunity to build close relationships with the teams onshore and within the organization more broadly on a regional and global basis. The DCS team is a joint venture between the Global Banking and Advisory and the Global Markets divisions. This joint venture combines the bank’s capabilities in the credit space integrated in Credit Chains working closely with Origination and Credit Portfolio Management to de-risk the bank in primary (Syndication) and secondary (Trading) and pursue Fund Financing and Securitization activities for clients of the bank (corporates, financial institutions, fund managers) leveraging a unified Credit Sales team. The successful candidate will actively support the distribution of credit product in both primary and secondary markets within the Australian market for several business lines and provide coverage for Australian investors in relation to issuances in Australia or abroad in a range of G10 currencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Providing regular feedback on investor appetite, market conditions and structures to traders, engineering, syndication and management of the DCS platform, enabling optimal distribution of primary and secondary deals. Collecting and sharing market feedback through investors meetings and market soundings. Assisting origination through risk assessment, research and contribution to Syndication teams. Working with teams in Asia on syndications, specifically, Roadshows, book-running, Q&A, status reports, etc. Selling assets from the trading books on Corporates Bonds, ABS and all credit products. Developing the investor base and secondary franchise toward Australian clients. Supporting the team’s efforts in the development of the DCS franchise. Participating in client meetings. Interacting closely with DCS trading and the Global Markets sales force worldwide. Attending meetings, internal and external, to discuss and assess investment and structuring strategies. Supporting DCS, in particular Trading and Sales, in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory to the client base. Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required: Bachelor or Master’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering. At least 5 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets. Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with the Australian Credit segment. Strong understanding of credit business. Ability to gather an understanding of complex credit structures, their dynamics, and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to trade relevant capital markets products, with a particular focus on asset-backed products, markets, and regulations. Understanding of Credit Market Products across Vanilla and more structured products in a trading floor environment. Strong awareness and understanding of risk and ability to act with all due care and attention. Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
