Reporting to the Commercial Manager – Variations, this position is responsible for providing high quality commercial analysis and robust assessment of contract variations and claims submitted by the metropolitan rail franchisee, in line with contractual obligations and relevant departmental policies and procedures, ensuring value for money for the State. In this role, you will be required to manage complex priorities simultaneously, while also being strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders. Delivered robust claims assessments in line with contractual obligations and relevant Departmental policies and procedures, ensuring value for money for the State. Provided authoritative analysis and advice in relation to franchise contract variations and claims, and prepared timely, accurate and high quality reports, presentations and briefings. Established and maintained effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Contributed to the development and continuous improvement of the frameworks, systems, tools and administrative processes used to support the assessment and management contract variations and commercial claims submitted by the rail franchisee. Key Selection Criteria The Department of Transport and Planning is seeking a Variations Senior Analyst to join its team. You will also be responsible for project delivery, ensuring tasks are executed according to plan or prioritising them based on urgency and impact. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and be committed to enhancing processes while delivering results within a structured project framework.
