Just a short drive from Perth, this breath-taking location offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, vibrant communities, and accessibility.The Roles The South West district is establishing a pool to fill the following various Senior Child Protection Worker and Senior Field Worker positions in Bunbury, Busselton, Manjimup and Collie. Senior Child Protection Worker/ Senior Field Worker Responds to serious concerns about the welfare and safety of children and young people under the Children and Community Services Act 2004 .Duties include: Leading child safety investigations. Undertaking case work of a complex nature. Providing advice and mentoring to other District office staff on matters concerning the care, safety and protection of children. Senior Child Protection Worker Placement Services/ Senior Officer Care Services Works collaboratively with District staff, foster carers, community groups and other stakeholders, to build local capacity and resources to meet the placement and care needs of children in the care of the Department.Duties include: Providing and coordinating support to foster carers, and promoting local practice. Participating in planning decisions involving children in care. Ensuring Departmental statutory obligations and practice standards are complied with in relation to placements. Senior Child Protection Worker Family Domestic Violence/Senior Field Worker Family Domestic Violence Provides services to families and individuals who are experiencing or contributing to domestic violence, with the aim to improve the safety of child and adult victim survivors through a collaborative approach that focuses on timely and early intervention following a police call out to a domestic violence incident.Duties include: Assisting District and Police staff in assessing domestic violence incident reports. Helping victim survivors access support and services. Engaging with community groups and other agencies to promote awareness and support for victim survivors. Responding to concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children. Undertaking complex case work activities.
