About the Opportunity This position will be responsible for pro-actively administering operational support framework and compliance to vendors for trade and non-trade supply to agreed terms.The role will liaise with all pillars across the Metcash Group to develop process and procedures, identify training opportunities, automation and enhanced processes to maximise working capital managed, minimise risk and ensure Invoice and Payments Policy compliance and targets are met. In this Role Build relationship with vendors to implement in customer service and reduce administration costs. Administer and guide Invoice and Payments Policy to be fine-tuned to meet current commercial environment. Ensure Vendor supply chains are calibrated to Metcash support processes. Ensure Metcash continues to provide the best service to our vendors to reduce errors and remediate any supply chain gaps as identified. Meet regularly to ensure team members including local and outsourced partner are fully trained and optimised to ensure vendor invoices are promptly processed and ‘Approved’ as ‘Ready to Pay’ across the Metcash Group with minimal delays. Monitor aged creditors to ensure agreed targets are achieved. Work closely with eBusiness team to ensure EDI invoice/automation opportunities grow within the trade vendor base. Manage ‘Risk & Control Matrix’ (RACM) review and management. Managing Internal and External audit queries. Provide review, reconciliation, guidance, feedback and training to onshore and offshore teams on Policy and Vendor Management including Grocery Code of Conduct (GCOC) and legislative changes for Payment Times Reporting (PTR) and Privacy as they are planned and/or occur. You’re Likely a Match If Minimum 5+ years Vendor Management Experience with solid knowledge in compliance and managing risk. Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a change management. Advanced Organisational and Communication Skills. Experience in training & developing outsourced / offshore resources. D365 or similar ERP supply chain experience essential. Knowledge of MS products including Office applications with ‘Intermediate Excel’ skills. Life at Metcash Supportive and flexible work environment.
