The Lake George Hotel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Venue / Hotel Manager to join our staff on a full-time basis and lead our front of house team. Immediate start is available! Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Licensee and General Manager Overseeing the daily operations of the pub, in-house bottle-shop & hotel, ensuring smooth workflow of both front and back of house Supervise, train, and direct staff to provide a great customer service experience & the right atmosphere within the venue Work with licensee & senior management group to drive revenue, manage costs, and ensure compliance with WH&S regulations Stock control & maintenance of alcoholic & soft beverages in line with operational requirements, management of cellar and beer lines Ensure compliance with licensing and gaming laws & regulations, including completion and distribution of our monthly licensing checklist Be responsible for the operation of gaming and wagering, including TAB & Keno on premises Manage opening and closing procedures Handle customer feedback and complaints where necessary Experience & Attributes: Minimum of 1 year’ experience in a Venue / Hotel Manager role Current NSW RSA and RCG certificates TAB & AML certificates Experience with POS systems, stock control, rostering & people management Background encompassing all areas of hotel operations Solid understanding of financials, business expenses, labour costs, liquor gross profits, etc. Availability & flexibility to work nights, weekends, public holidays as required Excellent personal presentation and communication skills Genuine passion for the industry, patrons & the people that work within it Australian working rights Benefits & Perks: Staff meal and free tea & coffee while on shift Free parking Career progression & development Rapidly growing company where your input is encouraged About Us: Established in 1838 in the town of Bungendore, just 30 minutes out of Canberra, The Lake George Hotel offers our customers and local community fantastic service, food, and good times.
