Venue Manager Treasury Bar & Dining InterContinental Sydney Hotel Brand: InterContinentalLocation: Australia, New South Wales, Sydney Hotel: Sydney (SYDHA), 16 Phillip Street, 2000 The Treasury Bar and Lounge is a grand reinvigoration of botanical history in the sundrenched heritage backdrop of the InterContinental Sydney. An all day and into evening escapist drinking & dining retreat right in the beating heart of Sydney. We proudly treasure our fascinating roots and we invite guests to sit, sip, savour and share in these wonderful revelations. Your day to day Treasury is the lobby lounge and bar at InterContinental Sydney, offering a welcoming space for morning coffee, business meetings, long lunches, bar snacks, and late-night drinks. Operating 7 days a week from 7:00 am to midnight, it is the first food and beverage touchpoint for guests and the local community. As Venue Manager, you will lead a team of 21 bartenders and waiters, including two assistant venue managers, with a strong focus on guest engagement. Your role is to create a warm, seamless experience, connecting with guests, anticipating their needs, and enhancing their stay through genuine hospitality. Working closely with rooms division, concierge, and front desk, you will ensure Treasury is the heartbeat of the hotel, fostering a culture of exceptional service, teamwork, and luxury hospitality. Your ability to inspire your team, elevate guest interactions, and drive revenue will be key to success. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader passionate about guest experience and looking to grow within a globally renowned luxury hotel. What we need from You 2+ years of experience leading a similar venue/dining environment Proven success in developing and implementing structured service delivery processes with a sustained high standard of guest service Proven track record of delivering venue operational effectiveness, profitability and productivity goals Strong organisational, written, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments Experience in luxury/high end venues either locally or internationally Proven experience working with and achieving brand standards at luxury or similar level Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Tourism or relevant discipline highly desirable NSW RSA You must have full Australian working rights with no restrictions; there is no sponsorship for this role.
