Greencross Vets Wetherill Park are looking for an experienced and motivated Vet Nurse to join our team on a Casual Basis! We are a busy practice with a moderate surgical and medical caseload, so great for nurses that love a fast pace and don't shy away from learning something new! About your new role: Casual hours undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care Performing minor procedures when required Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment About your skills and your experience: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with min. 2+ years of experience Strong knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work Exceptional communication skills Willingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practice Ability to multitask efficiently,remain calm and react quickly in stressful and emergency situations Display a high degree of empathy and understanding towards the needs of the patients, the clients and the rest of your team Knowledge of RX Worksideal but not essential The successful nurse will need to cover all aspects of veterinary nursing, from assisting with a wide range of surgical caseloads, blood sampling and in-house pathology, cannula placement, to animal handling. There is also a component of reception duties including answering client enquiries over the phone, updating patient records, making appointments and discharge of patients. Interested?
