About the role The role of Village Manager works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare and is responsible for the overall management, operations, and community engagement within the HammondGrove Independent Living units (ILU), for HammondCare. This is permanent full-time position ideally based at Hammondville (South West Sydney). Please note this is not a hybrid position and there will be a requirement to work on-site Monday - Friday. Key Focus Areas Operations and facility management of the ILU - Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction, engagement, and well-being Resident experience and community engagement - Oversee the maintenance, safety, and presentation of village facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and a high standard of living Financial performance across the ILU - Manage budgets, financial planning, and cost control to ensure the village operates efficiently and sustainably Leadership and support across the ILU - Lead and develop staff, contractors, and volunteers to deliver excellent service and maintain a positive working culture Compliance and risk management for adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, WHS plans, while managing risks and resolving residential concerns As a HammondCare destination, fostering a corporate contribution and participation across all Care Units of HammondCare and the broader HammondCare Teams About you Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. Tertiary qualification in management or related degree or Cert IV in Aged Care, Cert IV in Management, Leadership and Management Significant practical experience in managing people, preparing and managing budgets Experience managing a team of skilled professionals Demonstrated analytical and financial skills Proven ability to work in an operational environment that requires a high-level attention to detail Experience in planning and delivering special events and activities Experienced in supporting a multi-site, diverse environment Effective key stakeholder management Effective communication skills A current driver’s license and safe driving record. Willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites, from time to time Strong administrative and computer skills including database management and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated empathy towards older people Desirable: Aged or health care experience and knowledge of aged care financial drivers - home care packages, Aged Care Quality Standards.
