Employment Type : Visiting Medical Officer Position Classification : Visiting Medical Officer Requisition ID : REQ556805 Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities within the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department and Hospital as required. The Visiting Medical Officer will have post-fellowship training at a high-volume microsurgery centre, including instruction in advanced reconstructive techniques with exposure to a diverse range of complex cases. The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment that supports education, research, and professional development. The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), with recognised specialist qualifications in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
