GHD has rich expertise in delivering projects for clients through EPCM, EPC, Owner’s Engineer and other delivery models in Western Australia and elsewhere. This is complemented by our local team’s strong pedigree in the end-to-end power system design which includes generation, transmission, distribution, renewables, battery energy storage and hydrogen technology. Located in Perth, you will work with a team of highly experienced professionals and be engaged with our local, interstate and global operations. We’re looking for an Energy Leader to join our Future Energy group. As an Energy Leader, you will have professional attributes that allow you to make significant contributions across: Strategy – providing a vision and direction for Western Australia’s Energy market, in alignment with GHD’s wider regional and national/global blueprints. Clients – with a client-centric focus, you will be well-connected and influential across the Western Australia Energy sector and have the skills to demonstrate existing client and partner relationships and identify new ones to continually evolve the sustainability of our business. Markets – energetically setting a high-growth trajectory, you utilise relationships and data-driven insights to strengthen our market position, owning and converting key strategic pursuits across the value chain. Projects – contributing to GHD’s reputation and profitability, you’ll address project leadership roles, such as Project Director or Technical Director, as appropriate. People – a key member of Western Australia’s Energy leadership team, you will build work environments where people feel pride and belonging, mentoring and coaching team members in professional and commercial foresight towards higher performance. Passionate about creating lasting legacies for people and communities, you will bring: An enviable network of Energy sector leaders, decision makers and partners in Western Australia. Strong expertise in the planning, design, delivery & operation of major energy networks & infrastructure, including renewable/low carbon power generation, energy storage, power transmission & distribution and future fuels. Specific expertise and experience in one or more of the following: Leading and converting strategic pursuits. Tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar. Post graduate qualifications in an energy related field, business development and/or program/project management (highly regarded). Strong knowledge of relevant Australian standards and industry guidelines. Industry body membership and visible participation. Proactive and inclusive leadership with the ability to work and influence a diverse business. Commercial competence and critical thinking ability. A commitment to fostering inclusion and diversity and to advocate for equity. The ability to work across multiple projects and pursuits while remaining focused and collaborative.
