About the opportunity The WHS Compliance Advisor works closely with the Compliance Coordinators, reports to the National WHS Manager and is part of the wider People, Culture and Safety team. The key focus of this role is to oversee the compliance with all relevant legislation in relation to the operation of our display homes, sales offices, corporate offices, warehouses and the like throughout NSW & ACT. In addition, this role will provide leadership, support and training to the Compliance Coordinators. More specifically, you will: Assist with recruiting, onboarding and managing performance for all Compliance Coordinators Coordinate the emergency preparedness requirements such as first aid, emergency wardens, emergency procedures and fire safety compliance Conduct periodic documented safety and compliance inspections Coordinate ergonomic requirements as needed to reduce the risk of injury and discomfort to workers Complete test and tag requirements Develop and facilitate WHS training and induction to ensure WHS compliance and improve overall WHS performance Assist with facilitating and implementing the annual WHS training plan in line with the annual Corporate Training program and budget Provide training and guidance for WHS committees and coordinate their reporting requirements to ensure they have the skills to identify risks, operate and report effectively Monitor corrective activities to ensure risks are eliminated, isolated or minimised and maintain the various registers and reporting requirements of the WHS Management System About you You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will: Certificate IV in WHS 2+ years working in a similar role with experience using LinkSafe Knowledge of and ability to interpret legislation, rules and regulations as they relate to Work Health and Safety Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills with an ability to meet deadlines Innovative and strategic thinking skills with the ability to see and suggest ways to continually improve and a positive approach to change Demonstrated leadership skills with a high level of communication, influencing, interpersonal and presentation skills Interested?
