The role involves responding to general customer enquiries, providing timely and accurate information and assistance to clients and staff to facilitate service delivery within the Hospital environment. About the Role As the primary contact on the ward, assist and direct visitors by accessing patient information and providing an effective and courteous front counter service. Conduct patient interviews to verify information and financial details to complete the Patient Election Form (PEF) process. Provide support to the Unit including secretarial duties for meetings, ordering of supplies, and other tasks as requested by the Nurse Unit Manager. Comply with and adhere to Queensland Health policies, procedures, standards, and legislation relevant to the role and work area. Execute ethical decision-making in the achievement of departmental and organisational objectives. Prioritise workload effectively and perform duties responsibly in the absence of supervision. Attend compulsory meetings and training and disseminate information within the area. Commit to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by actively participating in safety and quality practices.
