Together we can do more. As the Wardsperson, you will support and assist clinical and other staff with patient care, manual handling and the transportation of patients. This includes: Assisting patients to the front of the hospital for private transportation. Lifting and turning of patients using appropriate manual handling techniques with the use of appropriate equipment. Undertaking general patient care duties. Renewal of oxygen cylinders and medical gases. Mortuary duties. Companioning of patients. Cleaning and maintenance of various equipment. A Little About Us. Bulli Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, provides inpatient, outpatient and allied health services, as well as the Urgent Care Centre, for the northern Illawarra. The Urgent Care Centre provides treatment for minor injury and illness. The nurse-led model of care enables patients to be seen and assessed by specialist nurses who, in consultation with medical teams, deliver treatment and management plans for patients.
