About the Opportunity A permanent role exists within the Warehouse / Cool Room team in Darwin. We need flexibility to work day and/or afternoon shifts. You need to be customer-focused and have experience in forklift operation. Experience in picking and packing of product to customer orders is advantageous. We are a close-knit team in Darwin; effective communication skills and teamwork are a must. This is a highly physical job in a fast-paced environment; we are looking for someone energetic, engaged, and ready to build a career with Lactalis. Are you enthusiastic? Are you reliable? Your commitment to our brand and customers is a must. This is a shift-based role (you may be required to rotate from time to time) and some paid overtime may be required. Are you flexible with your time? Duties include: Manually picking orders correctly, palletizing and labeling to customer. Moving stock from the production line to the warehouse. Loading and unloading trucks as required, observing all necessary safety requirements. Ensuring vehicles are loaded in a timely fashion, meeting time slots and production requirements. Following housekeeping and hygiene processes and procedures. Ensuring stock is correctly received, stored, recorded, and issued in saleable condition. Responsible for the safe operation of the forklift. Ensuring all customer orders and receipts are accompanied by correct paperwork. Reporting any problems which may occur and could disrupt the smooth running of the operation. Assisting in the training of new staff and/or functions as required. All other duties pertaining to the scope and objective of the role. You need to be Quality & Safety focused. To be considered for this position, the following will be advantageous: Current and/or previous Warehouse Operator experience. Computer literacy including experience using Microsoft Office and computer-based maintenance systems. The successful candidate will be flexible to work changing hours and overtime as required by the business, which may include shift work.
